Knowing how your customers found out about you and what their expectations are is important. But how? Here's how I developed a strategy to solve this problem for MyMap.AI.
Banner on Pricing Page
First, I used intercom.com to set up a banner on the pricing page. As an incentive, customers receive a $20 coupon upon completion.
Survey on Typeform
The banner led to a survey on tyepform.com.
In less than 48 hours, we collected 50 responses.

Now let's take a look at the result:
Social media serves as the primary source of discovery, accounting for 85% of traffic alongside search engines.
FYI context: all of our social media traffic is organic. We haven't run any ads on social media platforms yet.
Social Media Platforms
Instagram is the top platform for raising awareness.
Obviously, Meta is still the king of social media, as Instagram and Facebook account for almost two-thirds of the social network traffic (although I am not a Meta user at all).
Customer Professions
Nearly half of our current users come from academia, followed by entrepreneurs.
